“Carols by Candlelight is a South Australian institution; a festive season tradition beloved by the young and the young-at-heart. Every year thousands gather in Elder Park to joyfully celebrate the Christmas spirit together, sing those classic festive favourites along with some of Australia’s most well-known entertainers, and thrill at the spectacular annual fireworks display. Yet Carols by Candlelight is more than just a wonderful community event: it is also a major fundraiser for St John Ambulance SA. The money raised helps continue its crucial work in delivering health and medical services at events, first aid training, and social inclusion programs. The state government is proud to support this year’s event, and we look forward to this year’s Carols by Candlelight being a very special night of celebration and song.”
